Explore AS Jelah’s Facilities – The Home of Kent Neapolitan Wafers

As part of the fair activities in Tešanj, AS Jelah presented its new wafer production facilities, showcasing the sweet delight that is winning over consumers across Bosnia and Herzegovina

Jelah remains dedicated to expanding its production across various sectors, a commitment highlighted during a brief media tour of the company’s facilities. Journalists had the opportunity to see firsthand the production line of Kent Neapolitan wafers, a product fully manufactured in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The entire process— from baking the wafer layers, applying the filling, sorting, and packaging— is fully automated. However, the human workforce plays a crucial role, carefully overseeing each step to ensure the highest quality.

As shared with the media, wafer production at AS began 15 years ago, and this year, a brand-new production line worth two million KM was launched. Thanks to these advanced facilities, the confectionery factory now produces 350 kilograms of Neapolitan wafers per hour. In a single day, five tons of wafers make their way from the factory to store shelves across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

There is no secret recipe—just a well-structured process. From baking and cooling to spreading, cutting, packaging, and finally reaching supermarket shelves, each step is meticulously executed to deliver the finest quality.

Additionally, AS is preparing to open new facilities for the production of specialty teas in Visoko. This was confirmed by Rusmir Hrvić, President of the Management Board of AS Holding, who emphasized that the company is constantly working on new ideas and innovations to satisfy the taste buds of consumers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
